Engaging the citizenry of Davis, California in a vital and fair forum.
Our community needs to be better engaged in an online dialogue. The newly launched Davis Voice is that vital and fair forum.
We hope to inform and entertain you with hard news, confirmed facts, insider stories and expert opinions.
To the main dish we'll apply a liberal seasoning of nightlife happenings, cultural opportunities, Dalebrity sightings, fervent pleas for sanity and a little bit of funny.
We also want to hear from you.
Here are a few conversation starters:
+Local land developers: Responsible businesspeople OR a cabal of evil-doers?
+Teen Center: supply it with Guitar Hero OR lease it to an electric car dealership?
+Wild Turkeys: give them a key to the city OR serve them up for dinner OR great with Coca-Cola?
Tips about Davis characters, elected officials, movers & shakers, social butterflies and other local minor celebrities, henceforth known as Dalebrities (Davis/celebrity... get it? get it??), are encouraged.
Did you see a County Supervisor eating at a new restaurant? Catch a City Councilperson shopping at Wal-Mart? Observe Bob Dunning playing table tennis? Witness Kim Stanley Robinson launching a homemade rocket? We want to know all about it. But please, don't bother or feed the Dalebrities in their natural habitat... unless she is an Elected Official, in which case they're asking for it.
